ISGS Office Closed Monday, January 21, 2013
 
 
The ISGS Office will be closed on Monday, January 21, 2013 in observance of the Martin Luther King Jr. holiday.
 
The office will be open from 10am to 1pm on Tuesday, January 22, 2013.
 
Regular hours will resume on Thursday, January 24, 2013.

Description: Explanation of the Selective Service process including discussion of the three distinct registrations; classification lists; inductees lists; appeals to the President; and records relating to delinquents and deserters.
 
Presenter: Linda Woodward Geiger, CG, CGL
 
Linda Woodward Geiger is an associate of the Board for Certification of Genealogists (BCG), holding credentials as a Certified Genealogist(SM) and as a Certified Genealogical Lecturer(SM). Linda is a professional historical and genealogical researcher, author, and lecturer. Although she specializes in Georgia's state and county records and a variety of federal records, particularly of the southeast region of the United States, she has extensive experience in Cherokee research before and during removal. She has served many organizations in a variety of capacities for over twenty-five years.
